SNCR Technology

State-of-the-art, fully automated Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) systems engineered with on-site trial validation, precision multi-level injection, and over 26 years of DeNOx heritage.

SNCR Technology

Engineered SNCR Technology for Reliable Industrial DeNOx

State of the Art fully automated DeNOx systems are essential for complying with current emission limits and ensuring sustainable process operation. PetroNOx develops and implements SNCR systems that are precisely tailored to temperature windows, plant conditions, and customer-specific requirements.

Using our proprietary test trail Portable systems with which we conduct trials worldwide to identify the most effective injection points within the process and to verify the performance of our systems, combined with 26 years engineering experience, in-house manufacturing, and personal on-site commissioning worldwide, we work closely with our customers to develop solutions that operate reliably, reduce operating media consumption, and ensure stable emission levels over the long term.

SNCR systems built to fit your plant needs

  • •Completely new systems based on standard or customized modules
  • •Expansion or modification of existing systems to fit your purposes

Yara commercializes two SNCR systems:

  • •Standard SNCR, which achieves the minimum level of NOx emissions permitted
  • •Low NOx system, which reaches much higher reduction levels of NOx emissions

Engineered Subsystems

Key Components of SNCR

Factory-assembled, piped, wired, and tested modular pump packages engineered for reliable water dilution, chemical dosing, and safe tanker unloading.

Pump Module for Water

PMW-D* / PMW-S*

The PMW-D/S Pump Module is a compact, skid-mounted water dosing package designed for reliable and accurate water supply in SNCR and SCR applications. The module is completely factory assembled, piped, wired, and tested prior to dispatch, ensuring rapid installation and commissioning at site.

The skid comprises dosing pumps, isolation valves, pressure instrumentation, piping, and all necessary auxiliaries mounted on a common base frame. All electrical components are fully prewired to a local junction box, minimizing site cabling and installation efforts. The modular design ensures ease of maintenance, high operational reliability, and seamless integration with the plant control system.

Pump Module for Reagent

PMR-D* / PMR-S*

The PMR-D Pump Module is a skid-mounted reagent dosing package designed for the reliable transfer and dosing of aqueous ammonia or urea solution (heat traced & insulated) in SNCR and SCR applications. The module is completely factory assembled, piped, wired, and tested prior to dispatch, ensuring rapid installation and commissioning at site.

The skid incorporates dosing pumps, process instrumentation, valves, piping, and a locally mounted Remote I/O panel, which is fully prewired to all field devices on the skid. Depending on the application, required flow range, and system hydraulics, the module can be equipped with either VFD-driven positive displacement dosing pumps or centrifugal pumps.

The PMR-D module communicates seamlessly with the PetroNOx PLC through industrial communication networks such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS, or Optical Fiber (OFC), enabling real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and control.

Pump Module for Filling

PMF-D

The PMF-D Pump Module is a dedicated filling skid designed for the safe transfer of reagent from the road tanker to the storage tank. The module includes a filling pump, dry-break couplings, flexible hose assemblies for both filling and vapor return service, isolation valves, and associated instrumentation.

For enhanced operational safety, the filling operation is designed as a manual activity, requiring the presence of both the tanker driver and an authorized plant operator throughout the unloading process. The filling pump can only operate when all safety permissives are satisfied.

The storage tank is equipped with a high-accuracy radar level transmitter, which continuously monitors and records the tank filling level. In addition, independent overfill protection switches are hardwired directly to the PMF filling pump, ensuring automatic pump shutdown in the event of a high-high level condition, thereby preventing tank overfilling.
